Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra has acknowledged that the capital has experienced relatively high water levels over the past two days, and the situation remains unstable. However, he suggested that the heavy flow from the upper part of the country could be nearing its end. Despite the potential improvement, the governor is urging all 50 districts of Bangkok to remain vigilant in monitoring the flooding situation.
Governor Sukhumbhand has pledged that the city will continue to aggressively pursue drainage efforts to alleviate the flooding. He has also requested security authorities to oversee disputes regarding flood barriers, as some have been torn down by locals.
